International Tax Manager - AF Group Finance - Al Futtaim Group - Dubai, UAE

- Manage group tax compliance & reporting. Support Group Tax Director with tax opportunities and risks
- Group tax initiatives Manage implementation
- Divisional and country tax Roadmaps Drive, monitor and support
- Tax advice - Provide ad hoc advice to head office and businesses
- Transaction tax - Support with international expansion projects
- Tax Operating Model - Manage tax community across 35 countries
- Country tax compliance Monitor and support
- Country tax planning Register of tax opportunities, risks, attributes
- International tax database Manage

As AFG is operating as a global player in over 35 different countries, its tax footprint is expanding rapidly. AFGs Group Tax Director has performed a tax review across the group and identified a series of tax issues and opportunities.

Firstly, the review established the need for a framework to institutionalise the group tax compliance and reporting process. This allows for consolidation, oversight, accountability, planning and document management. Secondly, the review established the need to manage a host of projects with the potential for significant tax savings and tax risk management across the group.

The international tax manager will help execute these initiatives.

Requirements

- Tax or Accounting certified
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Regional tax knowledge would be a plus
- Arabic knowledge would be a plus

Minimum Experience:
- 7 years in an international tax environment
- In-house experience

Job-Specific Skills:
- Tax technical skills and tax accounting
- Transfer pricing documentation experience
- Project management skills
- Ability to work on various on-going projects with good organisational and time management skills
