International Tax Manager - Dubai, UAE

This position requires an experienced tax professional who has excellent knowledge of international tax strategy and planning, research, compliance, filing and tax audits. The position is based in Dubai and will include liaising with onsite external tax advisors across Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific including Japan.

The successful International Tax Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Overseeing the preparation, completion, review and submission of income tax returns
- Identifying and implementing tax rate and cash flow saving opportunities
- VAT Management (and equivalent)
- Overseeing the preparations for tax audits
- Compiling data to support tax decisions
- Managing transfer pricing
- Managing international and external relationships
- Preparing and updating tax positions, reviewing international tax provisions and related accounting matters
- Overseeing cross border transactions and Double Tax Treaties
- Researching and drafting various tax technical positions
- Providing tax expertise to the broader business
- Ensuring the organizations global tax compliance commitments are met.
- Determining the tax compliance implications and strategic considerations with various business initiatives/proposals such as M&A projects
- Providing input from a taxation perspective into the company policies which are being developed

Requirements

- Qualified Accountant, CA, ACA, CPA or equivalent qualification
- 3-5 years International Tax experience in public accounting (Big 8) plus corporate experience is an advantage
- Strong international tax and accounting skills and educational background in tax
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and fluent in English
- Strong project management skills / Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects and assignments at any given time and meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively manage and coach a team
- Must be able to travel to various countries of operations.
