Inventory Accountant

Job description / Role

As an Inventory Accountant your main responsibilities will evolve around:

- Coordinating with the sales accounting operation group on daily BAAN sales integrations relating to daily sales of all the boutiques.
- Reconciling sales integration and prepares the necessary corrections for purchasing department entry.
- Ensuring that all sales transactions are completely and accurately integrated in the system.
- Close coordination with warehouse regarding daily inventory transfers
- Ensuring store to store transfers are recorded in the BAAN system.
- Validating & evaluating additional Pricetag request from shop managers.
- Ensuring stocks are completely insured and remind Accounts for the renewal prior to expiry date
- Reconciliation of inventory per books
- Reconciliation of claims from Insurance.
Submits balance sheet account analysis pertaining to inventories:
- Inventory obsolescence expense
- Allowance for inventory obsolescence
- Inventory valuation
- Sales staff uniform analysis
- Tracks the completeness of receiving reports (GRN) for all the brands before closing the books.
- Prepares the monthly ageing report.
- Ensures all integrated sold SKUs are with corollary cost of sales per quantity.
- Ageing of consigned stocks (owner-supplier)

Requirements

The ideal candidate would be:

- Holder of a university degree in Accounting
- CPA licensed or equivalent
- Mature and can work at lesser supervision.
- Responsible and disciplined
- Strong background in business software such as; BAAN, SAP or Oracle.
- Previous work experience in accounting for retail, trading or manufacturing firms
