Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:

The inventory analyst is responsible for the overall inventory productivity on their specific region to ensure service levels are maintained & MRP functionality is fully utilized. This role is also responsible to manage the inventory levels for product categories through analysis of trends, exceptions, rate of demand, minimum order quantities and minimum presentation quantities. Evaluation and planning of all basic and seasonal forecasts and profiles based on demand history, statistical analysis, store activity, current trends, which facilitate replenishment of product to the stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the specific region to support the Movex( Aggreko's ERP system) related transactions.
• Conduct weekly/bi monthly conference calls (5 sites per week) with the projects sites in their specific region to discuss on inventory matrix, demand trend changes etc
• Visit project sites in their specific region to oversee the inventory activities, stores set up, conduct stock accuracy audit by performing cyclic counts, and deliver training in Movex( Aggreko's ERP system) processes, movex transactions.
• Responsible for assisting Inventory and MRP Manager to prepare the plan to retrieve the excess/Non BOM inventory from project sites back to Jebel Ali or other regional hubs.
• Monitor inventory trends and inventory levels; flags up potential inventory shortages at Jebel Ali & investigate reason for part shortages.
• Monitor MRP expediting messages; follow up with Supply Chain team for completion.
• Assist Inventory & MRP Manager in establishing and configuring MRP settings for materials (Forecast and reorder point items) for new and existing projects.
• Assist Inventory & MRP Manager in preparation of data and up-load of MRP templates/ID’s into Movex.
• Maintain the point of time table master file (POT) for all Movex warehouses in line with the material coordinator responsible for each region/site.
• Monitors daily overdue distribution order report and assists stores team to close out pending items or resolve any transactional/allocation issues.
• Investigates problems, finds root causes, test various scenarios and suggest solutions for inventory variances & stock discrepancies.
• Assist regional supply chain coordinators/finance team to carry out the cyclic counts/periodic counts in a timely fashion.
• Review current inventory policies, identifies any deficiencies and inefficiencies & make correctional recommendations.
• Maintain an accurate Item Master in Movex (item statuses, part numbers, description, classification, BIN locations).

Requirements

Person Specification:

• Minimum 4 year's experience
• Advanced user in MS office applications
• Expertise in operating an ERP/MRP system
• Analytical preferably with a certification in basic analytical skills.
