We are currently seeking an Inventory and Procurement Executive to provide cost effective and timely support to divisions in the areas of stock ordering, procurement and distribution. You will ensure the utilisation of cost effective logistics to enable timely procurement and delivery of units ordered as well as ensuring proper documentation and system adherence related to delivery, re-export and local sourcing of items.

The key responsibilities of this role will be:

* Advising the Inventory & Logistics Manager on appropriate prices prevailing in the market to enable effective negotiation with supplier's and assist the Inventory & Logistics Manager with sales forecasting activities.
* Ensuring the availability of stock within prescribed constraints in order to meet customer demand at all times and preparing stock status reports.
* To interact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and constantly follow up on the status of order's.
* Monitoring the rates of logistic services and liaise with the logistics support executive's  to select the most cost effective and efficient agency for the pick up and delivery of units.
* Ensuring all documentation such as LCs, customs clearance, export documents, inspections, GRN, exit forms, etc. are prepared accurately and in time to facilitate smooth operations.
* Interaction with persons from various agencies to ensure proper adherence to systems and procedures in relation with custom and bank activities.
* Liaising with the sales team on stock availability, confirmed orders and stock left available for sale. Liaison with the parts department for procurement of parts if required for specific deals.
* Locally sourcing components for divisions and negotiation with suppliers for best prices. Assisting the Manager in obtaining competitive quotes from local suppliers.
* Intimate insurance companies for insurance covers for imported goods and processes insurance claims for any loss and damage to the goods.

Requirements

The selected applicants will have more than 5 years experience in an automotive parts business, preferably in the area of inventory management and procurement. You should also hold a graduate degree in any discipline or diploma in engineering or equivalent.
