Employment: Full Time

Adecco are recruiting for a very high profile client in Adu Dhabi for an Investment Administrator responsible for supporting team members in undertaking the day-to-day administration of the Direct Investments portfolio. These duties include producing management financial statements/portfolio accounts and ad-hoc reports. Carries out the day-to-day management of the accounting processes and procedures for the Direct Investments portfolio. Carries out various periodic or ad hoc analytical work and prepares and submits reports on such subjects as performance, cash flow forecasts, foreign exchange exposure, investment transactions. Undertakes specific studies and analyses as directed.

The position holder reports to Senior Investment Analyst, Direct Investments Department.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides execution support, monitors the DI investments and manages the investments accounting processes.
- Prepares, monitors and regularly updates the assigned reports.
- Measures the DI investments performance against relevant industry benchmarks and public market indices.
- Manages the deal log process and filing system.
- Assists with the development, implementation and update of various department process checklists and procedures.
- Ensures policy and procedures are adhered to as per company policy and procedures.
- Works with third party administrators as required.
- Undertakes specific project studies, as assigned, including ad hoc analytical studies and reports.
- Carries out administrative tasks as well as other similar or related duties as assigned.

- Ensures up-to-date knowledge of matters relating to MIS and makes it available to team members.

REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares regular reports on investment activities and performance as assigned.

Requirements

- B.A. in Accounting or Finance or equivalent CPA designation
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in financial services industry with focus on investment administration and/or operations, accounting and / or financial reporting.
- Experience with financial systems and MIS.
- Good knowledge of computerized accounting processes/systems.
- Knowledge of different asset classes and financial instruments
- Significant experience with general ledger accounting, cash and securities movements, and troubleshooting

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
- Sound knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
- Sound knowledge of accounting guides & accounting standards
- Proficient user of Bloomberg; familiarity with AIM and PORT functions beneficial
- High level of IT proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word) essential.
