Investment Director - MENA
The regional Investment Director leads multiple investment teams in selected countries in Middle East and North Africa countries (initially Oman, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt) and in the Niger Delta, making SMEs successful through investment and business support to achieve mandated fund and program results. More specifically, his/ her key purpose is to drive and deliver exceptional investment and impact performance of the various funds under management under the NOMOU program and the Delta Aspire Funds. He/she will be responsible for investing around USD25mln per annum in approximately 60 transactions. The Investment Director positions and represents the company in the region, effectively executes brand and customer strategies together with leadership and local talent development.
Requirements
- Best in class investment experience in SME investment, preferably in the Middle East and/or North Africa, with a 10+ years of a demonstrated track record in investing or financing SMEs
- At least 10 years management experience, preferably in an international organization, managing cross country teams
- Advanced degree required. An MBA from a leading international education institution is preferred, as well as CFA or ACCA.
- Existing and relevant network amongst Africa focused venture capitalists, private equity funds, investment advisors, banks, consultants and other SME stakeholders is preferred.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Written and spoken language fluency in English essential, Arabic preferred.
