Employment: Full Time

Our client is global, principal-led investment firm with a significant proprietary capital base, which it invests alongside third party capital in investment partnerships that it establishes or controls.

Based in Dubai and reporting to the Finance Director, this is a new role with the objective of centralising all aspects of investment and investor administration with a specialist in that field.

The objective of the successful candidate will be to ensure that this element of organisation financial and operational infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively at scale, liaising externally with industry partners and fund administrators as well as internally with the firms investment partners group.

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:

Liaising with outsourced fund administrators
- Overseeing contractual arrangements for new and existing investment structures
- Ensuring completeness of their own regulatory documentation requirements with respect to KYC and other reporting regimes (e.g. FATCA)
- Preparing instructions for processing of capital movements, income distributions and fund maintenance costs
- Preparation of required movements and balances to enable production of SEC custody reports

Liaising with industry partners where fund structures are co-managed regarding
- Receipt and review of financial statements
- Receipt and review of capital and income distributions

Liaising with the firms investment partners group regarding
- On-boarding new investors
- Obtaining and maintaining required compliance materials (incl. KYC documents)
- Responding to investor queries
- Production of investor capital statements (and supporting materials), capital calls, distribution notices, and coordination of other investor correspondence (investment updates and commentaries) with the firms investment professionals

Maintenance of the firms fund administration/CRM system (eFront)
- Establishing new investment structures
- Obtaining and maintaining all investor documentation
- Updating capital and income flows as well as fund expenses and net asset values
- Reconciling internal fund administration records to those maintained externally
- Maintaining the investor reporting calendar and liaising with relevant internal and external parties to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Oversight of all financial accounting processes for investment structures
- Whether performed externally (by industry partners or fund administrators) or internally
- Ensuring timely delivery, accuracy and consistency of treatment of capital and income flows within investment structures
- Ensuring sufficiency of cash resources to cover estimated operating expenditures
- Liaising with external auditors in respect of audited fund structures

Requirements

- At least five years of relevant experience within an investment and/or transaction environment (banking, asset management or fund administrator)
- Ability to manage inputs and deliverables across multiple investment structures in parallel, through superior project co-ordination and organisation skills
- Relevant business process experience in a fund administration setting with solid knowledge of best-in-class controls, procedures and reporting
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Good financial modelling and presentation skills
- Collaborative working style with valued contribution to team productivity
- Self-motivated and able to take the initiative on matters requiring attention
- Ability to prioritise work load in order to meet project/reporting deadlines

Strong knowledge of:
- International investment structures in multiple jurisdictions
- Regulatory requirements related to administration of collective investment structures (preferably DFSA and/or SEC)
