Employment: Full Time

The role will be responsible for the origination and execution of Islamic DCM transactions. The incumbent will be expected to work across all areas of DCM including Sukuk transactions. They will be supported in day to day analytical tasks by the Analysts and Associates and will responsible for the quality of deliverables.

Description
- Implements the strategy and business plan of QNB Capital to achieve the set volume, revenue, and profit targets related to DCM transactions.
- Assists the Directors, MD and CEO in preparing the strategic and business development plans for the Bank's DCM offering.
- Recommends appropriate pricing structures/ policies for the Bank's DCM products and services.
- Identifies new DCM business opportunities in conjunction with the Director, MD and CEO.
- Ensures the provision of value added products and services to clients requiring DCM services.
- Originates new transactions including identifying opportunities and the preparation and delivery of pitches.
- Maintains relationships with existing clients.
- Manages, coaches and motivates Associates and Analysts to enhance service quality and meet assigned financial and non-financial targets.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to the team.
- Prepares pitches and mandates.
- Manages the administrative process pertaining to the assigned engagement.
- Reviews and approves deliverables prior to their issuance to clients.
- Recommends/ approves participation and roles in mandates.
- Acts within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
- Possesses superior knowledge of the DCM and Sukuk business.
- Identifies areas for professional development of self and other staff.

Requirements

- Bachelors and Master's Degree, preferably in a relevant discipline such as Economics, Law, Finance or Accounting.
- 7 years experience within a DCM team of an international or regional investment bank, although this may be reduced for individuals with higher degrees or exceptional experience.
- Islamic Bonds (Sukuks) transaction experience essential
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to make decisions and follow through with initiatives
