A large scale, international Cyber Defence and Aerospace Technologies specialist organisation is currently recruiting Java Developers to join their team to develop an exciting new Big Data security product.

What you will be doing:
- Developing an exciting new Big Data security product built on 'Hadoop' (Open source software framework)
- Contributing to a highly scalable and distributed product using many open source technologies
- Joining a team of developers who are passionate about building great products and where software engineering excellence is valued above all
- Delivering a product defined by an ambitious and long term roadmap
- Working for a company with excellent career paths and a real appreciation for great work
- Working in a dynamic team structure with sub teams organised around tasks, a high degree of automation, peer reviewing, and embedded QA teams as key requirements to success
- Joining a team that is growing rapidly and at the perfect time to be able to influence the product, technologies and processes followed

Requirements

Essential Skills required:
- Excellent core Java development experience

Desirable skills/experience:
- Working in a product development team
- Software design and architecture
- Web service technologies, such as REST and WSDL/SOAP
- XML/XSD
- SCRUM methodology
- JIRA/ Confluence/ Crucible
