Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job objective

Supports Finance Manager on accounting / Accounts Payables / Accounts Receivables / Banking / Other day to day activities of Seabed Geosolutions Sdn. Bhd. (SBGS SB) legal entity

Ensure the timely and accurate recording of day-to-day transactions for the legal entity (supplier invoices, petty cash, bank and supplier payments) including from various crew locations that does not have access to the ERP
• Issuing client invoices based on crew production reports and ensuring to record the same in AR.
• Create accruals and reversal of accruals as necessary as part of month end routine, in consultation with the Senior Accountant, duly reviewed and approved by the Project Controller.
• Ensure timely accounting of intercompany invoices from other entities in the group and / or issuance of intercompany invoices to other entities in the group and payment of the intercompany invoices
• Prepare Pettycash and Bank reconciliations
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations as assigned.

Responsible for

• General Ledger (GL) transaction accounting
• Accounts Payable (AP) transaction accounting
• Accounts Receivable (AR) transaction accounting

Requirements

Other activities

• Manage Petty cash of the office.
• Prepare Payroll for office staff.
• Passing month end entries.
• Stands up for the Senior Accountant in his absence.
• Actively participate in developing and implementing various accounting tools and in researching ways of reducing lead times.

The candidate shall have
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience in accounting for multi-national companies involving inter-company transactions
• Good knowledge in AP / AR / GL modules of any ERP – knowledge in Navision, Dynamics AX will be added advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Adequate work knowledge in MS Excel and MS Word applications
