Junior Accountant

Job description / Role

- Ensure that all banks transactions are accurately and timely processed into the accounting system
- Weekly and on-demand bank reconciliations
- Cash in Bank Monitoring
- Responsibility for Petty Cash and Cash Floats entries, reconciliations, and reimbursements
- Review and prepare payments for Petty Cash in Abu Dhabi
- Weekly Transactions monitoring for both Receipts and Payments
- Prepare and booking of payment vouchers for outright cheque payments
- Processing of the payment batches into accounting system as per established procedures
- Monitors all the utility bills and delivers them to their respective offices
- Posting of utility expenses in their respective cost centres
- Calculate and book Monthly accruals of utility expenses
- Monthly Cash Advances / Expenses claim monitoring
- Use designated forms to record Staff Advances
- Ensure forms are correctly authorised for advances before paying out any monies
- Prepare monthly payroll adjustments for HR processing
- Prepare the monthly reports for Travel expenses
- Prepare Actual YTD information for Cash Forecast files
- Assist Regional Chief Accountant & Senior Management Accountant in collating information for Green House Reporting
- Other Ad Hoc requirements as requested by Chief Accountant and/or Financial Controller

Requirements

- Finance or Accounting Degree
- IT Literate with strong Ms. Excel skills and accounting software skills
- Strong verbal, written and report writing skills and the ability to provide key information in a succinct and precise manner
- Excellent spoken and written English
