Junior Brand Manager – Jewellery

Job description / Role

Newly created role working as part of the retail division in an established and diversified group of companies. As part of their retail franchise business they are now seeking an experienced Junior Brand Manager to play a leadership role in taking their jewellery business to the next level. The role will be based in Dubai but with regional & European travel. Store expansion is planned and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take their career to the next level.

Job Description:

• Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for leading the sales & profitability of your brand throughout the Gulf region
• In conjunction with the General Manager you will plan the annual budget per store within the brand
• Perform a review of current business operations and make recommendations / implement new structure as required
• Overall responsibility for sales, profit, stock loss, expenses & costs (P&L)
• Work in line with the International Principal partner on new season merchandise marketing / promotional material / logistics / warehousing
• Provide effective leadership to your store operations team through product & sales training
• Travel overseas to the brand Principal for seasonal “buys” and building the merchandise range / forecast
• Evaluate local market competition and analyse pricing strategies / markdowns etc.
Prepare innovative VIP Events and participate in showcasing the brand & merchandise
• Provide guidance to your team on visual merchandise / brand integrity

Requirements

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 7 years Retail Experience in Fashion, Jewellery or Department Stores to a Senior Store Manager, Area Manager or Brand Manager level
• Must have broad experience in managing a Brand and any experience in Merchandise Buying, PR & Events, VIP Sales, Store Operations, VM & Principle relationships
• A strong understanding and passion in following fashion trends
• Excellent people skills with the ability to drive sales teams to achieve their goals
• Proven ability to manage a retail budget, sales versus targets and high achievement of results against forecasts (P&L)
• Strong people management, training, recruitment and performance management skills
• Multi site or Area Management experience in overseeing multiple store locations is essential
• Ability to travel regularly within the Gulf and overseas as required
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
