Junior Buyer – FMCG (1 YEAR CONTRACT ONLY)
Our client is a multinational food manufacturer based in Dubai, they are looking to recruit a Junior Buyer to ensure the right source is selected that provides the right quality of premiums and services on time with competitive price and high level of service for the company for different promotions. This position will reports directly to Regional of Manager Supply & Procurement and based in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
• To procure all external supplies to deliver target savings, implement and follow systems and procedures that ensure conformance with corporate guidelines (Purchasing Policy, Vendor Forms, Single Source Supplier, QPE Standards etc…).
• Source POP Materials and Premiums/ Tailor-mades/ Give-aways for Marketing Promotions Receive Brief from marketing which should include scope, budget, objective, timing, quantity.
• Select 4-5 potential suppliers and issue briefing document, requesting sample ideas and prices.
• Present ideas/prices to Marketing and select preferred premium Negotiate with suppliers and obtain final offers Complete Bidding and after approval file documents for future references Obtain project number from Marketing and when project is released place Order in system (SAP) Submit pre-production sample to Marketing and obtain signed 'Premium Approval Form' to give go-ahead for production Manage supplier to ensure on time delivery Develop supplier database; identify promotional packaging and premium objectives in line with Sales and Marketing plans across the GCC.
• Develop supplier performance; evaluate supplier performance for promotional packaging and premiums in line with purchasing policy. Negotiate with other companies, prepare Bidding documentation.
• To identify, manage, capture and report productivity initiatives to Manager Supply & Procurement, working with External suppliers.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
• University degree. Additional professional qualification in Purchasing supported by formal education.
• Fluent English speaker other language is a plus and Arabic Speaking Candidate is an advantage.
• 1 - 2 years in purchasing activities experience Good business knowledge, and FMCG exposure
