Junior Financial Advisor
Select Human Resources
•Preparation of financial models / financial analyses or reviewing and/or audit financial models / financial analyses of financial models prepared by other team members
•Valuation of development projects
•Analysis of financial (or financing related) risks and impact of proposed transactions on accounting.
•Structuring and execution of financing plans for new projects
•Preparing or assisting with financing, accounting and tax related inputs in financial models (where required with the support of relevant expertise centres and/or external consultants)
•Preparation of appropriate financing plans
•Selection of banks / financing institutions and/or agencies
•Business development decision making process
•Analysis on risk allocation, bankability issues, optimisation & tax structuring
•Finance / Economics based degree or a professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) or other (engineer)
•Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (preferably within a sponsor-side AIFA / project finance team or within a bank, financial advisory firm and/or accounting/fiscal advisory firm)
•Proven experience in financial modelling and up-to-date proficiency in excel (including writing basic Macros)
•Strong and proven analytical skills, including proficient financial modelling
•Commercial acumen with good understanding of accounting topics and tax structures
•Planning ability and capacity to deliver on plans and to work independently
•Leadership qualities advantageous, strong self motivation a must
•Able and willing to learn on the job and to share experiences across the team
•Presence and interpersonal credibility advantageous
•Ability to multitask and to work effectively under pressure
•Strong communication skills (including adequate knowledge of PowerPoint®)
•Behavioural capabilities: problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, common sense and sense of humour
•Fluent English mandatory
•Knowledge of Arabic represent valuable asset
•Good understanding of the power business
•Basic understanding of contractual structure
•Basic understanding of banking and funding processes / issues
•Dubai / frequent travel within the Region + possibly outside
