Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Junior Financial Analyst Country assists in analyzing and reporting the financial position of companies in specific countries assigned to him/her. He/she looks for ways to enhance a businesss profitability and liquidity.

Liaises with the Accounting and Finance departments of the assigned countries, as well as reviews and follows up on their financial position.

Assists in performing financial analysis of the profitability, liquidity and working capital needs of the relevant companies.

Follows up on daily, weekly and monthly sales figures.

Assists in preparing and monitoring budgets.

Assists in preparing and updating financial projections.

Ensures timely reporting of relevant companies.

Assists in reviewing, maintaining and analyzing yearly financial statements. Assists in reviewing and studying the prices and margins of the brands. Oversees the collection and maintenance of data related to specific financial/accounting functions in order to ensure that accurate and up to date records and statistics are established and maintained.

Compiles and analyses financial information and prepares reports and other management information as required, conducting additional research where necessary, to ensure managers have the relevant information needed to support decision making.

Analyses ledgers and accounts to allow the reconciliation of financial data according to stated schedules so that the company remains aware of its financial positions on an ongoing basis and statutory reports can be produced within legislative time limits.

Identifies, investigates and rectifies routine errors and anomalies in input data so that all financial data can be replied to.

Develops own professional expertise through optimising on-the job training opportunities and formal training situations in order to improve levels of personal performance.

Requirements

University degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.

MBA or CFA is a plus.

A minimum of 0-2 years experience in a similar field.

Good analytical skills.

Proficiency in excel, access and word.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
