Junior HSE Officer

Job description / Role

HSE officer is responsible for assisting the Assistant HSE and Security Manager in the implementation and administration of safety, health and environmental protection.

Health Safety and Environment
- Assist the Assistant HSE and Security Manager with the administration and further development of HSE Policy, Manuals, Standards, Procedures and Safe Work Practices;
- Conduct frequent on-site safety inspections, and evaluation of workplace environments, equipment and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations;
- Ensure that fire prevention equipment, safety equipment and first-aid supplies are present on-site at all times;
- Assist with the incidents investigations as they occur;
- Maintaining a system for recording, reporting and investigating injuries, accidents and dangerous occurrences;
- Prepare and review incident reports, as needed;

Security
- Secure the premises and personnel of the company by inspecting buildings and access points regularly;
- Ensure that all visitors are provided with the necessary pass at all entry points;
- Assist the manager in ensuring that the security during events is well managed;
- Ensure that the surveillance footage is monitored regularly;
- Overlooking all security and staff management;
- Maintain safety sign boards, posters and barricades;

Requirements

- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role;
- Excellent analytic skills;
- Excellent Microsoft office skills;
- Strong Communication Skills;
- Strong Interpersonal and coaching skills;
- Should be customer oriented;
- Ability to provide detailed audit reports, with relevant required preventive and corrective measures;
