With interests in transportation, water, maritime and property, our company is undertaking commissions in over 80 countries from a network of more than 90 offices.
In the Middle East, CH2M HILL Company provides consultancy services across a geographic region extending from North Africa to Dubai. This culturally, economically and environmentally diverse region has seen remarkable development over the last 30 years and Halcrow has played a leading role in its development since 1955.
Key role objective
The principal function of this position:
An opportunity exists for a Mechanical Engineer to join Mechanical, Electrical and Energy team in Sharjah. The team deals with a range of public and private sector clients and provides specialist technical advisory and project management services on water industry projects in the Middle East.
Key areas of responsibility
The priorities of this role include:
Carry out mechanical design of sewerage, storm water, potable water, fire fighting and irrigation systems
Carry out mechanical design of sewage treatment works
Preparing mechanical calculations, drawings and specifications
Preparation of technical reports
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
Design experience in the water industry relating to pumping stations and wastewater treatment works
Ability to write reports and technical notes
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Ability to interact personally and confidently with other members of staff
Minimum qualifications
The candidate must possess a relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering.
