Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The focus of this role will be to support to the VM team by ensuring stores look clean, crisp and attractive with a creative flair, capable of driving sales performance to optimum levels through effective product placement and visual display, in line with Brand guidelines and current trends.

• Involvement and communication in the forward planning and development of the Brand VM monthly guidelines and execution of the stores for their specific areas.
• Promote brand image whilst complying with Visual Merchandising standards
• Support the VM team with monthly mock shops and creating launch packs for the stores
• Conceptualizing Brands Standards within windows and stores in line with Brand requirements and local events.
• Receive feedback and ongoing evaluation on ideas and possess the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management and external stakeholders.
• To be Sale and Brand focused whilst being constantly mindful of the necessity to be cost sensitive, where suitable.
• To visit all stores/ concessions on a regular basis in order to ensure that the Brand concept is being correctly implemented and communicated within the correct necessary timeframes
• To develop, maintain and monitor an inventory management system that would include the necessary equipment i.e. mannequins, props, etc)
• To review current VM equipment inventory on a regular basis and communicate and feedback to the VM manager.
• Responsibility to manage cost and purchase of VM props through sourcing suppliers in and around the UAE, or where necessary.
• To assist in store openings with regards to the ordering, tracking, layout and execution of the visual merchandiser.
• To assist in VM based projects wherever necessary.

Requirements

• 2-5 years experience within the VM or fine arts field.
• Intermediate – Advanced skills across the MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Fluent in English with Arabic knowledge an asset

In early 2013, Majid Al Futtaim Fashion announced a joint ventures agreement with the leading American retailer and casual wear clothing brand, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (A&F), with respect to its Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch brands. The agreement is to develop Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitchs presence within the UAE, further supporting the brands international growth. As Abercrombie & Fitch Co.s first physical foray into the Middle East, the landmark joint venture partnership with Majid Al Futtaim Fashion should significantly broaden A&Fs regional potential across the GCC, further adding to the regions offering of exceptional market leading international brands.
