Key Account Manager – UAE National - Abu Dhabi

Our client, a port operator in Abu Dhabi is now seeking for Key Account Manager to manage the commercial relationship with existing clients to maintain a consistent high level of service delivery, whilst identifying further new business opportunities. The Key Account Manager will maintain the revenue and gross profit of each account ensuring they remain profitable in line with annual targets, exhausting all additional revenue streams opportunities. The Key Account Manager is directly responsible for developing the local import/export market and for promoting the use of the services of the company

Job Responsibilities:

Actively follow and promote the company Safety and Security policies and ensure that fellow employees and visitors are doing the same. These policies are to be always followed within the port environment so as to ensure a safe and secure workplace for all.
Monitoring the day to day commercial performance of each existing account within a portfolio and regularly liaising with existing clients to identify new business opportunities.
Working on continuous improvement plans to extend and improve upon our existing services with key clients.
Manage an opportunity pipeline, closing all possible opportunities to achieve a gross profit result in line with quarterly targets, and responds to enquiries relating to productivity in the Container Terminal.
Ensures all clients understand the services on offer from the company across all business units, and actively promote the services of the Port amongst new and existing customers within the industry sector.
Ensures that all client profiles are maintained and updated within the customer database.
Prepares quotations to customers, and provides project management of the roll-out of all new contracts and services.
Provides detailed information and reports to the directors of the company as and when required.
Carries out analysis and produces input to reports on a monthly and as and when required basis.
Daily liaison with other members of the team to provide information and ensure that customers receive excellent customer service and that suppliers provide consistent services.
Manages a range of customer projects at any one time.
Advises on changes and trends in the marketplace and the activities of competitors.

Requirements

Qualification & Experiences:

Bachelor Degree in commercially oriented field
Minimum 5 years experience within shipping, logistics, ports and/or container terminal business
Project management, commercially focused, Good Negotiation skills, Planning and prioritization, Ability to work alone or in a team, Results oriented.
Ability to communicate in English (Speaking/Reading) ELS Level 107.
Arabic knowledge is preferred and any additional languages would be deemed an advantage.
