Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) role is to sell the entire range of Consumer Food products within a geographical defined region. We are looking for Account Managers to cover Asia, Africa and Levant regions.

The main responsibilities include:
- maintaining and developing existing business
- identifying and exploiting new business opportunities
- achieving mutually agreed budgeted volume and gross profit targets
- representing Al Ghurair Foods at conferences, exhibitions and events

Principle Accountabilities:
Account Management
- Develop and use detailed customer account plan with each customer
- Business Profile including SWOT
- Person Profile
- Product - Current and Potential
- Agree business plan, marketing plan, product range and forecast volumes @ SKU level with customer and share with business
- Review business plan & sales performance with customer @ SKU level, update account plans and share with business
- Work with customer services to ensure that contracted volume is fulfilled within agreed time-frame
- Continually manage the customer relationship to enhance knowledge, intimacy and the business relationship
New Business Development
- Provide customer insight and local knowledge to each country database
- Continuously review the market place, seek out and identify potential customers for product portfolio
- Compete detailed target customer development plans:
- Business Profile including SWOT
- Person Profile (Who's Who & Contacts)
- Windows of Opportunity
- Execute activity plan to convert prospects to trading customers
- Using appropriate negotiating skills to secure purchasing agreements across the maximum number of SKUs in line with budget margins and volumes
- Complete customer contract, communicate and manage timely delivery within company and with customer

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree preferably with Sales/Marketing/International Trade

Relevant Experience:
Minimum 4 years sales, business development and key account management
Experience developing key account / customer plans
Experience in export sales from UAE

Essential Skills:
Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to create presentations and engage a range of audiences
Ability to interpret and process large amounts of complex information
Ability to work flexibly, on own initiative and as part of a matrix team
First class ability to prioritise and manage own workload and journey plan
Ability to manage relationships with tact and diplomacy
Highly proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel
Able to travel frequently and be away from UAE for 3 5 days at a time
Fluent in English and one other language would be desirable (French, Swahili, Hausa, Portuguese, Tagalog, Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic)
