Key Account Manager

Job description / Role

- The main focus of this role will be Service providers in Baghdad, governmental sector, utilities and security all over Iraq.
- Team consists of 4x Sales plus. On top, there are around 30 people in Baghdad and 15 people in Erbil of which all support to the Sales team in either Pre or Post Sales work.
- Iraq has been a huge success to our client; in fact 40% of our client's business in EMEA comes from MEA. Our client have had huge success closing the only end to end LTE deal in MEA with Newroz Telecom covering Kurdistan Region with the highest traffic. Outside of LTE, our client is covering 10 FTTH projects in municipalities through contracts with ITPC, the incumbent fixed operator.
- This role will be 80% new business penetrating Zain Iraq, addressing vertical market like utilities and security and evaluating and managing channels to increase the coverage over the municipalities.
- The target will be 10M so closing one deal will hit your number; others will then lead you into accelerators.
- This person will lead at CxO level across accounts.

Requirements

- This candidate will be a minimum of 3 years experience in Sales or presales.
- Contract and finance experience is required.
- Develop and report to the management accounts plans.
- There is no h/c with this role however our client is a big matrix vendor and on complex deals you will have support from staff including Bid Managers, Pre Sales and Support.
- Our client believe this role with emphasize understanding the customers pain points and drive the business against these pains. Our client want to drive account volume, bring relevance to the customer, address pain points and bring value.

Desirable - Ideally motivated Iraqi with good networking, political alignment and having knowledge with our client internal process.
