Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A diversified group of companies whom have been Operating in Central/West Africa for the last 25 years specialising in Sourcing and Supply Chain for leading Multinational FMCG brands. They are seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager. You will be reporting directly to the General Manager

- Manage commercial and supplier aspects of product development and sourcing projects
- Work on conducting general market research as well as research potential suppliers, product specifications and resources
- Conduct supplier analysis, evaluate potential suppliers, and manage the overall supplier qualification process
- Develop and create sourcing plans, request for proposal, and other sourcing documents, evaluate and recommend purchasing and sourcing decision to management
- Manage the sampling and product approval process for the project
- Plan, direct and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications
- Manage new product launching, consulting and the product approval processes.
- Negotiate agreements and agreement related duties
- Identify and cultivate new business relationships related to products and product development services

Requirements

This will preferably suit a male candidate who is used to working with at all levels with local distributors and manufactures preferably form a Health & Beauty background, strong negotiation skills, happy to travel extensively with an outgoing personality will fit the team

Experience in the African Market

Minimum experience between 5 years

Portuguese language is a plus
