The Role


Company

Our client’s organization is one of the largest LNG operators globally. It is a joint venture between a global oil company and a local partner and is engaged in the business of production and sale of Liquefied Natural Gas and related hydrocarbon products. Based in one of the most politically stable countries in the GCC (Gulf Corporation Council), the company currently employs over 3000 employees and operates world class production facilities to treat, liquefy and export LNG around the globe.

Position

The successful candidate would need to be involved in the long term commercial efforts to capture the full value of LNG sales on a regional & international basis, and work directly with team members. Furthermore, they would be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, develop and implement strategies to capture incremental sales and leads efforts to optimize existing contracts. Also they must lead, maintain and develop strong relationships with LNG customers located across the globe. The position provides critical interface with LNG customers, Management, shareholders and functional departments. The role is a varied and challenging one and is crucial to the long term success of the business.

Ideal candidates will have minimum professional experience of 8 years in the hydrocarbons industry that includes 5 years in oil and gas marketing and business development. Also the role encompasses regular international travel, and includes but is not limited to:

• Experience in LNG and gas market fundamentals, including pricing, for various markets
• General knowledge of the competitors and competition conditions of LNG markets
• Excellent analytical/ economic modelling skills
• Identify and pursue short, medium and long term LNG sales opportunities.
• Advise and assist with sales activities of the wider team.
• Optimize LNG contract flexibility.
• Manage and mitigate risks relating to LNG contracts.
• Manage and develop strong customer relationships and ensure contract sanctity is achieved.
• Ensure all business activities maintain company values and focus on safety, health, the environment and quality.
