Laboratory Technician

Job description / Role

Key Tasks

1. General quality control of all incoming raw materials, trading products, locally-produced Liquid, Powder, Resin products and Packaging Materials.
2. To conduct assistance in the R&D of Liquids and Powder products and in evaluation of new and alternative raw materials.
3. Implement working procedures in compliance with "Sika Ethics rules" and ISO standards
4. Responsible for providing assistance in running and maintaining the R&D and QC records, including data input in Axapta, equipment setup and calibration, and other related documentation of Sika Gulf Laboratory.
5. Prepares a copy of QC/QA Certificate and other related documentation whenever necessary.
6. Ensure close information exchange with other laboratory staff
7. Keep accurate R&D and QC records and maintain good laboratory notebook practice.
8. Prepare and submit to the Quality Control Head all information, reports and records required.
9. Maintains Sika information with appropriate secrecy (internally and externally, adheres to policies regarding confidential information).
10. Supporting Quality Control Head / Laboratory Manager and perform other responsibilities and tasks that may be delegated from time to time

Requirements

College graduate of Chemistry or equivalent; atleast 1-2 years' experience in laboratory works preferably in construction chemicals industries or similar field.

Must be able to communicate in English

Strong computer and report writing skills in English
