Job description / Role
Job Purpose:
Monitors and supervises the activities field survey crew to carry out various field survey tasks and ensure all field survey activities are carried out according to adopted professional surveying engineering standards and project requirements in terms of accuracy, completeness, coverage, sufficiency, and quality.
Operational Tasks:
1. Plan and supervise the activities of field survey crew.
2. Prepare, setup, and adjust field surveying systems as per the requirements of assigned tasks.
3. Coordinate with client representatives on survey sites to address and resolve field survey issues.
4. Ensure field survey crew has enough survey material and supplies for assigned jobs/tasks.
5. Ensure that all survey systems are adequately maintained and calibrated.
6. Perform all applicable QA/QC measures to ensure the quality of collected survey data and set out survey markers.
7. Perform standard surveying computations and data processing and adjustments.
8. Coordinate safety issues internally and externally and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
Peoples Management:
1. When applicable, ensures subordinates and superiors are well informed at all times.
2. Evaluates subordinates performance in a fair, transparent, and objective manner on a periodic basis.
Related Assignments:
1. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements
Education/Experience Profile:
1. 3 years Degree/Diploma in Surveying/Geodetic/Geomatic Engineering.
2. 3 years of experience in field surveying and mapping techniques.
3. Knowledge of Quality Management System and Occupational Health and Safety standards and measures related to his functions.
Key Technical Skills:
1. Time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
2. Competent knowledge in English and Arabic, Spoken and Written.
3. Relevant computer proficiency, experience in using Microsoft Office tools
4. Knowledge of reading and interpreting construction and engineering plans
5. Experience in utilization of field survey systems (GNSS & conventional)
