Land Surveyor

Job description / Role

We are looking for Land/Building Surveyor to work for a Western Main Contractor on a Large Commercial Project in Cairo, Egypt

Role:
- You will be responsible for all subjects related to topography for the construction needs;
- You will organize pre-surveys, site calibration, benchmarking, setting out, quantity reporting, as-build surveys, verticality checks, leveling works,
- You will organize properly and in a short time frame the survey teams on site as to avoid any delay in the construction process;
- You are the interface between the Technical Department of the site, your survey team, your survey team and the site management;
- You will liaise with the Technical Department in case problems related to survey would arise, or in case of drawings issued for construction are showing some mistakes, as it is your responsibility to cross check that drawings are correct, prior to any setting out;
- You liaise with the consultant(s) and the client;
- You report to the Construction Manager of the site, as well as to the Survey Manager of the company

Requirements

- You have a Land Surveyor - Geodetic Engineer degree (min. 4yrs), with at least 10 years of relevant experience in Construction;
- You have a sound knowledge of Geodesy and can solve problems related to projection systems and scale factors, and you have a sound knowledge in GPS technology;
- You are familiar with computer technology, and you have knowledge of topographic software in general and of Leica Geo-office in particular. Knowledge of Civid 3D and/or LISCAD - COVADIS or TERRA MODEL is a plus;
- You are fluent in English, both spoken and written, and a have knowledge of at least one other European language;
