Job description / Role
- Provide legal advice on all aspects of construction, design, and develop contracts and agreements.
- Review/ study contract terms and conditions.
- Support teams regarding legal matter; claims, interpretation of agreement, etc.
- Prepare/ review various agreements to ensure legal and commercial principles are followed to best protect the interest of the company.
- Interpret UAE Laws and legislation.
- Ensure proper compliance by the Company with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Recommend the strategy to represent the company before the courts and other legal bodies and manage dispute, resolution, negotiation and settlement of claims.
- Represent the company in the hearings and mediations as well as tribunals.
- Attend major project meetings and provide advice.
- Conduct legal research.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (with Master's Degree is preferable)
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as an in-house counsel with specialization in construction industry, litigation, commercial contracts or project finance
- High analytic and legal drafting skills and ability to grasp and articulate technical and commercial detail
- Significant negotiation and persuasion skills
- High computer proficiency
- Excellent reasoning and out-of the box reasoning
- Good command over written, reading and spoken English
