Nature Publishing Group (NPG) is a division of Macmillan Publishers Ltd, dedicated to serving the academic, professional scientific and medical communities.
Nature Arabic Edition has a vacancy for a Layout Designer.
This position involves working as part of a small editorial team on a new and exciting Arabic publication. The Layout Designer will take a leading role in template development and implementation, as well as assist with Arabizing communication materials and similar. The Layout Designer will also be fully responsible for producing a monthly, print-ready Arabic publication to very high standards.
Requirements
To meet these challenging tasks, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar capacity in the publishing industry. The candidate will be highly proficient in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite, and especially Adobe Indesign, Adobe Incopy, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Familiarity with a Windows platform is also desirable. The ideal candidate will also have strong Arabic literary and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, well-developed time-management skills and good interpersonal skills.
