Job description / Role

The BIDW Technical Project Manager role will be responsible for enhancements and maintenance of the BI Architecture using OBIEE tools and the Mobile reporting platform. Part of this role the Technical Project Manager will work closely with the Functional Architects and Project Managers to ensure that BI Reporting adheres to the Best Design Practices in OBIEE. This role will define the BI Development standards, and conduct design reviews to ensure that the standards are followed. He will also be responsible for delivering better User Experience in the BI reporting platform.

Key Accountabilities:
- Main responsibility of the Job holder is to Design the BI/OBIEE Reporting Architecture, the RPD Data model and the Security Architecture to achieve the best User Experience
- Responsible for High Level Design and alignment of the same with the BI Architecture. Review the detailed Design and reporting layer mapping design to ensure adherence with the HLD, BI Architecture and the BI/User Interface development standards
- Work with the functional Architect for BI Reporting design. Understand the Data mapping and DHW data model design and prepare the data mart data models. Analyse the BI reporting System performance issues, design cache management and solutions for performance improvement
- Work with BI Project managers to understand the enhancement requirements, propose the BI solutions, Design management dashboards, coordinate with Business and BI stakeholders for the successful delivery of enhancement items
- Analyse the performance of the BI/DW along with Support team and propose necessary capacity alignments. Act as an escalation point in case any technical issues faced in the Service delivery
- Identify critical success factors and mitigate risks in the service delivery; present verbal and written reports defining plans/status/resolutions to appropriate levels of management
- Ensure better satisfaction for end users (CSAT) and an upward growth in satisfaction levels
- Participate and provide necessary support to design disaster recovery infrastructure
- Job holder must be Subject matter expert on the BI Architecture using OBIEE toolset. Job holder shall maintain complete technical know-how regarding OBIEE versions and features, also the alternative on the BI/DW and Analytics space. Job holder should also have good understanding on Mobile platform reporting solutions and Operational reporting solutions
- Adoption of proven data model, ETL and enterprise data warehouse technologies/frameworks
- Shift the knowledge capital in-house by maintaining an optimal balance between internal and partner teams
- Agility to be able to respond to business requests and proactive implementation of sophisticated analytical/decision making capabilities

Requirements

- Expertise on BI/OBIEE Reporting Architecture, Data mart data model design, Security Architecture, cache management. Experience working with large Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence reporting systems in the banking industry is a must
- Extensive hands-on work experience on OBIEE, RPD Design and mapping, Presentation layer design and mobile reporting. Expertise in design and delivery of senior management dashboards
- Very good understanding of OBI-Analytics (OBIA) modules such as HR, Procurement, etc
- Understanding of data integration with Source Systems such as Core banking, OGL, Channels, Loan Origination systems, Credit cards systems, etc., the ETL Batch loading
- Good understanding about point solution integration such as OFSAA (PFT, FTP), Statistical Analysis tools such as SAS, Hyperion Budgeting & Planning, with the RPD to make a scalable solution
- Been part of all stages of project lifecycle including Infrastructure sizing and setup, Requirements analysis, Architecture, Design, build/configuration, testing and roll out
- Good understanding of Architecture standards such as TOGAF. Understanding of ITIL-V3 processes and ISO 20K processes are desirable
- Relevant experience should be 9+ years
