Job description / Role

Lead Civil Engineer CCPP/Solar Energy Project Northern Saudi

My client is an approved Saudi Government Corporation consultant having delivered other IPP projects on their behalf. Requirement for a Lead Civil Engineer for their new project based in Northern Saudi.

The new project is an integrated solar combined cycle (ISCC) power plant comprising of a scope of work as owner engineer including construction, test, commission, reliability and then into commercial operations (more detailed project scope can be provided)

This project is part of the ongoing Independent Power Projects (IPP) planned by the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) which will add a total of around 11,000 MW of much needed capacity to the region.

*Candidates must be prepared to live and work in Saudi Arabia and would probably best suit the single status professional or professional who is willing to live away from home for a number months at a time

Requirements:
- MUST be degree qualified in engineering discipline (civil) from a reputable western university. This is a government corporation requirement and is unfortunately non-negotiable.
- Excellent English communication skills (reading/writing/speaking) are imperative.
- Candidate should come from a project background in UK/Ireland/European/USA/Australia with International experience - preferable in the Middle East.
- Minimum 15-20 years professional experience in power plant engineering/construction projects with at least 10 years in a lead engineer capacity
- Delivered multiple Combined Cycle (CCPP) projects previous solar energy power generation project experience/knowledge would be ideal but not strictly necessary
