The Lead Compensation & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for the design, maintenance and administration of all compensation, benefit and reward programs across the Emerging Markets in selected countries of Africa, Middle East or Eastern European countries that will attract, retain and reward qualified individuals ensuring market competitiveness, internal equity and consistency.

The incumbent is to be committed to a strong partnership with our clients and will work collaboratively with these groups to promote a high level of trust and respect. The incumbent will draw upon his or her exceptional facilitation and communication skills to achieve their objectives.

Reporting to the Emerging Markets C&B Leader, and working collaboratively with all Business Units and HR Teams, providing leadership and direction on the design, development, recommendation and implementation of total compensation and benefit programs which control costs, are market competitive and improve efficiency to attract and retain qualified employees. The individual is an effective team player who promotes a culture of professionalism, integrity, quality and teamwork and is committed to ongoing learning and development and sharing their knowledge with other members on the team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Broad-based Compensation -Oversee the salary planning, merit budget, job evaluation and salary structure components of the overall compensation system.
• International Compensation -Offer guidance and support to HR teams within and across country locations regarding all compensation matters.
• Project leader –Lead compensation and benefits projects across the countries.

Requirements


Requirements


- Bachelors degree (Hons)
- Proven recent experience of handling C&B strategies for a multi-location company
- 5 years + experience in a pure Compensation & Benefits role across multiple countries
- 3 years + experience in C&B from emerging markets
- Recent proven experience in market benchmarking within emerging markets
- Extensive experience in using the Hay and/or Mercer job evaluation system
- Strong team player
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and/or frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations
- The ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical ability and market analysis skills
