Lead Consultant Architect

Job description / Role

Consultant Architect with proven experience in architectural designs from conceptual stage through detailed design for medium to large size projects. Thorough knowledge of projects engineering practices, economics principles, calculation methods, international standards, codes, specifications, and procedures. Minimum 25 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbons, and/or Infrastructure industries. Excellent communication skills required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for design of buildings and support facilities, including process buildings, office/administration buildings, industrial buildings, housing developments, landscaping, etc.

2. Lead a team of about 10 - 30 Architects and related discipline engineers and designers
Check/Approve basis of design documents

3. Scoping of projects, including architectural deliverables Check/Approve work plans for architectural team

4. Check/Approve architectural deliverables Estimate work-hours

5. Etc...

Requirements

Qualifications & Years of Experience:
Minimum Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a minimum of 25 years’ of relevant professional experience in the Oil & Gas Industry

Key Skills & Technical Competencies:

Sound knowledge of basic engineering and architectural principles

Familiarity with key SA engineering standards and procedures is desirable Ability to handle responsibility and complete projects within schedule

Must be proficient in English, oral and written Excellent technical presentation skills required
