The RoleThe RoleSTR Global working in partnership with one of the worlds truly global companies is recruiting for Lead Contract Administrator – International Working Group for oil and gas projects in Kuwait. As Lead Contract Administrator – International Working Group you will be responsible to Senior Contract Specialist. Purpose and Role: To provide broad Contracts and Commercial expertise within small and self contained Owner Team (International Working Group ) of Contracts/Commercial( QS )/Legal specialists tasked with developing new and updating existing Contract models for use in upcoming major capital development projects and/or the existing operations environment. Key aims and Objectives: Proactive and professional in all day to day interactions within the Owner Team (International working Group) drawing upon international experience and know how as required. The timely execution of all assigned tasks, drawing upon previous Contracts and Commercial experience in relation to major capital project Contract Models. Interaction with Owner concerned groups and the International Working Group to reflect through necessary re-drafting appropriate innovations and improvements to existing Owner Contract terms, ensuring that relevant local legal requirements are maintained. Interaction with Owner concerned groups and the International Working Group to establish innovative and new Contract models to reflect ongoing changes to the business environment ( eg fast track Contract model options ), ensuring always that relevant local legal requirements are maintained. Support training programmes to Owner concerned Groups in the execution/management of new terms or Contract models. Occasional Operational support to Owner concerned groups for evaluation of significant third party claim/s. Occasional Operational support to Owner concerned groups for drafting of non standard ITB documentation for strategic high profile Projects. To ensure strict adherence to Company policies and procedures is maintained. Prime Responsibilities: Working with in the framework of the International Working Group, including commercial Contract drafting as required, in the attainment of the above objectives. Support in International working Group roll outs. Support to Owner feedback workshops. Competencies: Mature and experienced relationship management and verbal communication skills. High value major capital projects experience EPC from a commercial contracts drafting perspective. High value major capital projects experience EPC from an commercial execution perspective. High value major capital projects experience EPC from a bidding perspective. |
RequirementsRequirementsBSc Degree/Diploma with 12 years total experience, 5 years O&G, 5 years related designation. Commercial qualification (Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management preferred). Membership of reputable professional Organization MRICS or similar preferred. Self motivated and able to clearly communicate at all levels. Excellent presentation skills and ability to provide training. Excellent written communication skills. Base salary – circa US$170k per annum |
