As an important provider of engineering services with an established office, reputation and track record in the region for delivery of major projects, CH2M HILL is supporting our clients to provide program delivery services for its new projects.

CH2M Hill is seeking an experience Cost Controller to support its efforts on the King Abdullah Program for Sports Stadiums (KAPSS) in the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia (KSA). The KAPSS Program is to initiate, plan and Deliver 11 x 45,000 seat stadiums concurrently throughout KSA within two years.

The role holder is responsible for effective and proactive management, control and reporting of project costs as part of the program scope or as directed by the Program Controls Manager. This position is responsible for effectively and proactively managing, controlling, and reporting on cost for the concurrent projects throughout the program. The Cost must have expert knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Excel and Cobra. Additionally, the Cost Controller must have demonstrated the ability to work independently on complex cost controls issues as well as working in a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Complies with safe work practices and ensures that safety is demonstrated as the highest priority
- Supervises the timely and competent performance of cost control activities of the assigned Area
- Ensures cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards.
- Supervises and is responsible for the development and accuracy of cost engineering reports.
- Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility
- Assists in maintaining cost processes and procedures and update those as required
- Participates in claims analysis, evaluation and negotiations
- Assists in establishing and monitoring project controls KPI's
- Develops Action and Recovery plans to support programme delivery on time and within the approved budget
- Coordinates, supervises and checks the work of those cost engineering personnel assigned to projects under his/her direction.
- Management of the assigned Area CBS
- Maintenance and management of the assigned Area budget and forecast costs
- Maintenance and management of the assigned Area budget and forecast cost phasing
- Management of the assigned Area deviations from budget and forecast costs
- Reviews Change requests
- Validates Impact of the implemented Changes (when approved)
- Maintains Contingencies and Contingency draw downs
- Reconciles CBB and approved Changes
- Balances and reconciles Actual Costs with ODA Finance
- Provides Accruals to Finance each month
- Analyzes monthly Earned Value, CPI and SPI results and suggests cost improvements when appropriate
- Reviews Contract Performance
- Reviews Trends and outturn AFCs
- Prepares cost studies utilizing historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons
- Provides timely and accurate defined deliverables and ad-hoc reports
- Integrates area of accountability with other commercial roles within the broader team.
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach when working through the function & with projects
- Responsible for assigned cost engineering functions on the project.

Requirements

- Preferred Chartered Status or Memberships of Professional Associations
- B.S. Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Membership of a relevant professional institute (AACE, RICS, PMI etc.)
