Lead Designer / Head of Studio

Job description / Role

Australian Architecture practice, long established in the Middle East have a wide portfolio of designed and delivered towers, hotels, retail, commercial, institutional and healthcare projects across the MENA region.

With a large multi-disciplined team based in Dubai, they have a strong conceptual design team, and are currently seeking a Lead Designer/Head of Studio.

This individual will be responsible for the overall design vision of the firm, steering the conceptual team, and overseeing the design intent throughout the life of the project.

Responsible for meeting with their long established client base, presenting to such clients, creating design solutions and driving the internal team for successful project outcomes.

Working alongside the Head of production and delivery this Lead Designer will ensure that projects are building and within local codes and regulations.

Requirements

This individual will have around 15 years experience post qualification of a Degree in Architecture, and be based in the Middle East for the last 5 years.

Excellent conceptual design skill will be demonstrated through hand sketches and use of 3D software such as 3D studio Max, InDesign as well as Autocad.

Project experience in the Middle East will include towers up to G + 70, designed and delivered, Hotels, Malls, and Mixed use facilities.

Design team management will be shown from previous positions, within a stable work history as this is a long term career opportunity.
