Lead Engineer - Instrumentation

Job description / Role

Reporting directly to the Head Engineering, as an experienced Lead Engineer- Instrumentation, your knowledge in engineering coordination of large scale EPC project, detail Engineering and Design for Instrumentation and planning and Scheduling knowledge will be required.

Responsibilities:
- Verification of detail Engineering and Design and FEED/Pre-Bid Engineering as per the project specification, international codes and standards
- Verification of Tender documents and evaluation of Bill of Quantities by thorough verification of drawings/documents
- Instrument sizing software and specifications, preparations of cause and effects charts, diagrams and chats, TBE and MR, Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Cable schedules, BoQs
- Vendor Data Control and drawing approvals, co-ordination with client and other disciplines, site visits for data collections and extend utmost support for construction and commissioning activities
- Exposure to Control Systems (DCS) of Emerson Delta V, Invensys FOXBORO I/A Series, Honeywell Experion and Protection Systems (ESD) like Emerson SIS, Invensys TRICONEX & TRIDENT,AB Control Logix PLC and Modicon Schneider PLC Conversant with detailed engineering phase which includes Specifications, I/O Assignments, Logic development, Graphics, FAT/SAT, Commissioning
- Having Knowledge of AMS and Valve Link including, installation, configuration, Foundation Field Bus, OPC, Modbus, HART, TCP/IP and Fiber Optic Communications
- Acquaintance with instrument Installation, Calibration, Testing, Loop Checking & Commissioning of Control Valves, shutdown Valves and process control instruments

Requirements

- B.E/ BTech in Instrumentation
- 15+ years experience with minimum 10 years in GCC.
- Familiarity with the objective, contents and work processes of developing/generating deliverables such as Design, Specifications, Data Sheets, MR, PR, Bid Analysis
- Knowledge of Field Instrumentation, Control Systems and Physical layouts required
- Sound knowledge of EPC practices, codes and standards
- Hands on experience of the software used by discipline such as SPI
