Job description / Role
Lead Finance Officer - Internal Controls - Qatar Airways - Doha
Implement and maintain the finance policies and procedures for Qatar Airways Group, adhering to controls, rules/regulations of company and complying with the International Accounting Standards (IAS).
You will be responsible to keep abreast with all financial laws and regulations. You should develop, write and produce quick reference manuals in order to continually provide safe, clear and effective finance policies and procedures. You will be required to understand and advise any process changes which impact on financial accounting. You should review and implement effective and efficient procedures, and streamline processes to meet objectives and deadlines. You should participate in working groups ensuring implementation and issuance of policies and procedures. You will manage the communication of changes in policies and procedures. You should perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work units.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will need a Bachelor's degree additionally additionally ACCA/ACA or CPA qualified with excellent post qualification experience.. You will have 5 or more years experience with at least 3 years in a similar role preferably in a multicultural environment. You will have proven ability to constantly meet, challenging deadlines. You must have excellent organisational ability to be able to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities/work interruptions, and meet deadlines. You are well versed with IFRS. You must be a self starter and have the ability to work independently, with minimal instructions. Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of records and information.
