Employment: Full Time

- Execute Risk Based Audits of various business units as per approved audit plan in order to provide reasonable assurance to the Board of Directors on the adequacy of the internal control framework being reviewed.
- Conduct closing meetings/debrief sessions with Management and Executive Management for the allocated audit assignment in order to highlight the audit observations and obtain their agreement on the recommendation/action to be taken.
- Quality Assurance review of Audit Reports in order to review the draft reports and check that it is clear, achieves the audit objectives, is free from errors and omissions, and that the conclusions are based on valid observations.
- Preparation of audit working papers supported with evidences which support the audit observations and recommendations made.
- Conduct / supervise special assignments as directed by the Chief Internal Auditor. Maintain confidentiality and objectiveness of such assignments.
- Participate/assist in the creation of Annual / Long Term Audit Plan including review of Departmental Risk Registers in order be presented to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors for their review and approval on a yearly basis.
- Follow up on agreed action items as per allocated audits in order to ensure that all agreed action items are implemented as agreed.
- Participate with third party auditors in carrying out their various assurance activities as directed by the Chief Internal Auditor.
- Assist the Chief Internal Auditor in various tasks such as budget maintenance, follow up of audit action items etc. as directed by the Chief Internal Auditor.

Requirements

- University Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Accounting, Finance ..etc)
- Core Professional Qualification: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience, out of which a minimum of 4 years spent in internal audit.
- A core requirement is to have multi-disciplinary skills, since the incumbent will be required to conduct various audits on different departments and will require skills that span these departments (e.g. Finance, HR, Admin, Marketing, etc).
- Must have excellent English communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with various levels within the organisation.
- Must be a good team player and able to lead / participate / guide various audit teams.

Established by a Royal Decree in 1994, Oman LNG LLC produces and sells Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and by-product Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs).

The company undertakes activities necessary to liquefy, store, transport and market Oman’s natural gas and to deliver LNG to international customers. Currently, the extent of the Company’s operations is a three-train liquefaction plant with a nameplate capacity of 10.4 mtpa at Qalhat, near the town of Sur in the Sharqiyah Governorate, Oman.

Sur, like various other key regions of the Sultanate, was deemed by His Majesty as a target for economic redevelopment, not just because of its natural assets such as a deep natural harbour but to revive what was once a thriving port with a bustling maritime economy.
