Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Under general supervision, is accountable for higher responsibility and more complex logistics transactions such as controlled goods, explosives, etc. Ensures efficient movement of goods in compliance with company policies, procedures and local laws, including in-country transportation as well as exportation and importation of goods. Maintains and retains logs and files, including all the relevant support documents, for all movements of materials. Communicates and coordinates with all parties involved in relation to materials movements. Assists in developing less experienced Logistics specialists. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree or certification in foreign trade, international commerce, supply chain, business or similar discipline and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. International Air Transport Association (IATA) certificate required for international operations.

Requirements

1. Design, development and documentation of business processes
2. Participation in process improvement projects
3. Training of users
4. Generation of metrics to determine if processes are followed and desired results are being met
5. Provide business process knowledge and application end user support (including development of PEN network and requirements identification
6. Leads on-going efforts for establishing and sustaining improvement processes
7. Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley logistics issues are precluded from global logistics operations
8. Ensures compliance of the logistics organization with policies, procedures and local laws, and global logistics guidelines
