The challenge? Help develop and provide high quality, leading edge sustainable engineering solutions to our clients in the industrial (power, oil & gas, chemicals and petrochemical, and petroleum refining industries) sector for water/wastewater treatment. Our Lead Piping Designer position will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting projects in our Middle East market. Each day you will be an important team leader as you participate in the design, coordination, execution, procurement support, construction support and execution of multiple engineering projects. You should be a self-motivated, detailed oriented professional with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience working as a Piping Designer in engineering and design of water treatment, wastewater treatment, oil and gas and chemical facilities and a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project

Our Lead Piping Designers:
- Supervise/ Lead the project design team for piping including determining work assignments and meeting project budget and schedule
- Participate in design coordination with engineers and project management
- Perform design work utilizing 3D CAD systems
- Participate in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets
- Provide input to and help develop P&IDs, equipment specifications, vendor proposals and technical studies
- Mentor junior staff
- Act as design lead on assigned projects
- Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits and inspections, and design revisions/ management of change

Requirements

- Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
- Appropriate engineering degree or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years relevant experience
- 3 years' experience as a lead designer for heavy industrial projects
- 5 years' experience utilizing a 3D piping package such as SP3D, CADDworx or similar
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Previous work experience in Water & Wastewater industry for industrial clients
- Previous experience in engineering consultancy
- Must be willing to travel to meet project needs

In addition to the basic qualifications we also desire the following:
- 10+ years' experience as lead piping designer on projects in water, oil & gas, power generation
- Strong working relationships with industrial clients
- Previous work experience in Middle East
