Immediate Start - Lead Planning Manager

Allen & York are currently looking to appoint a Lead Planing Manager to join the Qatar operations of a leading contracting company.

As a Lead Planning Manager your past experience, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- Organize to assume comprehensive and independent responsibility of Planning Department for preparation of Bar Charts, Construction Programs, Construction Planning, Crash Programs, Cash Flow, identifying items on Critical Path, suggestive programs for Recovery Programs and other Planning related issues for each Turnkey project, by using PRIMAVERA, MS-PROJECTS or other state-of-the-art softwares.
- Organize to establish start and end date, commensurate with contractual clauses and prepare Construction Programs and Cash Flow accordingly.
- Organize to identify each component of work and prepare planning schedule commensurate with the quantity, resource allocation, start and end date for the component.
- Organize to coordinate with field engineers to record actual progress of each component of work and submit factual status to the management.
- Organize to highlight items or components on critical path, and prepare and submit factual status to the management.
- Organize to prepare Construction Programs as per contract vis--vis factual progress achieved on site, to the management.
- Organize to prepare Construction Programs and Cash Flow for submission and approval by clients and consultants, with prior approval by the management.
- Organize to prepare Revised Construction Programs and Cash Flow for submission and approval by clients and consultants, with prior approval by the management.
- Organize to prepare Crash Programs and Recovery Programs for approval by clients and consultants, with prior approval by the management.
- Organize to pre-warn Operations Team and management for requirement of extension of time.
- Organize to coordinate with the Operations Team for recording and updation of factual progress achieved by company labours.
- Organize to coordinate with the Operations Team for recording and updation of factual progress achieved by sub-contractors.
- Organize to attend site meetings, where required, to record status of progress, delays (if any), suggestions for recovery and resource mobilization.
- Organize to lead, motivate and delegate tasks to Junior Planning Engineers for preparation of each of the above.
- Organize to confidentially apprise management about anticipated delays on any component of the project, requiring special attention.
- Organize to prepare each of the above in different levels as identified by the management.
- Organize to delegate specific tasks to Junior Planning Engineers for expeditious accomplishment of tasks.
- Organize to play a pro-active role in internal coordination meetings in preparing a professional Construction Program and Cash Flow of each project.
- Organize to coordinate with all concerned inter-departments including Contracts Department, Design Department, Technical Coordination Department, Purchase Department and others for proper coordination.
- Organize to keep abreast with operating all versions of PRIMAVERA, MS-PROJECTS and any other state-of-the-art softwares as may be required.

Requirements

Applicants should be available to start work in December and be able to secure a visa to work in Qatar. Total remuneration package will be QAR45,000/month.
