Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Ensuring plant equipment availability and reliability are sufficient to meet operational requirements safely, efficiently and at minimum cost. Acts as the focal point for providing reliability data that allows the establishing of cost effective maintenance strategies.

Tasks and Duties:
- Develops and implements processes to gather equipment information from a variety of sources, including: Industry, QG Maintenance, Inspection and Operations groups.
- Utilizes SAP and other data base systems to efficiently collect equipment data
- Develops indices for qualitative and quantitative measurement of Plant/system equipment failures and reliability.
- Monitors equipment failure rates, repair costs and production losses in cooperation with Maintenance and Operations and quantify these in monetary terms.
- Participates/leads root cause failure analysis investigations.
- Determines equipment having low a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and/or high maintenance costs and coordinates preparing action plans for reliability improvement and follows up with concerned engineers for completion of corrective actions developed.
- Provides expertise relative to various Maintenance strategies including time based PM maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
- Provides expertise relative to various work screening/selection methods including Risk Based decision making.
- Develops and conducts a review process of Operations surveillance data (logsheets) systems in co-operation with Operations department.
- Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.

Work Contacts:
Liaises daily at own and superintendent level with personnel within the Company for general coordination purpose.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial setting, preferably Petrochemical, including ' working on Equipment reliability including experience in developing reliability processes and systems.
- Proficient in root cause failure analysis, preferably the 'Taproot' system.
Good written and spoken English.
