Lead SCADA Engineer - Midlands - UK

This role will suit an engineer with UK experience looking to return to the UK.

Your previous experience will include programming complex SCADA systems as well as networking multiple PC/PLC systems using different levels of networking protocols, you’ll know how to design and implement networks and be an experienced problem solver when it comes to setting up networks.

This role will involve supervising and supporting team members through feedback, training and coaching. The client will look at engineers who don’t have direct experience of this but are ready to take the next step up.

Requirements

The client requires a LEAD SCADA Engineer to join a key client in the West Midlands. The successful LEAD SCADA Engineer will have at least 5 years’ experience of working with Wonderware, Iconics or Rockwell Automation SCADA packages as well as having proven software development experience ideally using Visual Basic. You will also be expected to have strong knowledge of working with databases including development and administration for MS SQL.

Desirable skills include knowledge of sensors and actuators on packing and process equipment, experience of C# programming and ideally you’ll have some experience of managing a team or have worked as a Technical Lead which has involved mentoring/coaching of team members.

Knowledge of MES systems and how they integrate with Business systems is desirable as well as some knowledge of internet technologies including HTML, ASP and/or XML.
