The RoleThe RoleDesign and modification of shallow water platforms. Main focus is on topsides. Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance. Carry out work in accordance with AMEC and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems Maintain the required technical quality of work Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process Provide Technical expertise and maintain planning and cost on all scopes Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule. Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to discipline workscope. Maintain good communication with the Client and visit Assets when necessary Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project. Maintaining filing system Carry out offshore site surveys where necessary |
RequirementsRequirementsExperienced in the fabrication, load-out, installation, hook-up and commissioning of offshore structures Experienced in working offshore and has the ability to travel and work offshore Ability to work with personnel from diverse background and cultures Ability to mentor less experienced staff Middle East/ warm waters offshore experience required TBOSIET or equivalent offshore certification Good presentation skills and the ability to interface with clients Ability to manage a team of (up to) 55 on diverse scopes (greenfield, brownfield, integrity, inspection, modification) Can execute structural discipline engineering activities within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity |
