The Company
My client is one of the World's largest hospitality groups with ambitious expansion plans by 2016. This group has a fantastic reputation in the Middle East and they are looking for an excellent Learning & Development Manager to join on of the large hotels in Dubai.

The Role
With over 3000 employees at the resort, you will work as part of the Senior Management team within Learning & Development. The main duties will include:

Drive compliance in the business unit with processes related to learning and development to ensure that the business unit is applying the company's training processes and standards.
Drive the Departmental Trainers process to ensure effective departmental trainers on the resort.
Drive the development and certification of Departmental Trainers on the resort.
Complete an annual learning and development needs analysis to ensure that the training needs of the business unit are identified.
Produce an annual training plan for the business unit to ensure that identified learning and development needs are met in a structured and systematic manner.
Work in collaboration with Director of Learning and Development to ensure that the business unit is meeting Corporate training targets and objectives.
Develop training sessions that satisfy identified operational needs within the business unit.
Complete post training evaluation on training delivered in the business to ensure that training is effective and meets the training objectives for the programme.
Complete an annual evaluation of training delivered in the business to evaluate the execution of the Learning and Development plan and ensure the plan was effective and met the needs of the business.
Implement the Departmental Training Review Process to ensure that the effectiveness of departmental training and Departmental Trainers is systematically monitored.
Regularly meet, coach, support and motivate departmental trainers to ensure they are supported in meeting the on-the-job training requirements of their departments.
Drive the implementation of the National Development Process to ensure that Nationals are being coached, supported and mentored.
Communicate information about training events in a timely and professional manner to ensure the business is kept up to date about training and development activities
Manage the use of the Learning Management System to ensure training nominations, bookings and attendance tracking is carried out effectively.
Monitor the use of all training materials to ensure they comply with Jumeirah standards (i.e.: training hand outs, presentation, etc.).
Manage the use of the Talent Management System across the business unit and ensure colleague appraisals, performance reviews and individual development plans are being completed.
Compile and manage the business unit training budget to ensure that costs and expenses are correctly identified and controlled.
Regularly meet with, coach, mentor and support UAEN graduates placed within the business unit to ensure their training programmes are being implemented and to assist in the production of Individual Development Plans and maintain effective relationships.
Manage the management trainee and internship programmes to ensure they are being implemented correctly within the business unit.
Control the resources allocated to the training team, e.g. training rooms, AV equipment, to ensure they are utilised effectively and efficiently.
Represent the Training Team and the business unit at internal and external meetings/ workshops.
Carry out effective training on a range of subjects, with a focus on:

Leadership and management development, to ensure that leaders and managers have access to high quality training and development opportunities.
Train the Trainer program, to ensure that trainers are trained to the highest possible standards.
Any training required in the business.

Requirements

The Person
The ideal candidate:

Will have at least 5 years of experience within L&D/Training Management - essential
Will have worked in a hospitality/tourism/leisure industry - essential
Educated to degree level - essential
Ideally worked both in the Middle East and Internationally
Excellent communication skills - essential
Salary
AED 20,000 - 24,000
