Learning & Development Manager - Kuwait

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for the delivery of end to end training activity for the Kuwait Market, whilst reporting to the Regional L&D Manager. In this role you will manage a team of learning function heads and training officers, overseeing the delivery of behavioural and technical training that will enable Alshaya employees to understand and perform their current job, and assist them in moving to future roles. It will also be necessary to collaborate with Operations Divisions to ensure that employees possess the job skills, technical systems knowledge and behaviours required in order to maximise current and future Alshaya Operating Plans.

Your other responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring accurate budget is set each year for training requirements and that the budget is followed
* Identifying, selecting and managing relationships with third party suppliers to efficiently deliver identified training (whilst following Alshaya policies)
* Managing projects related to technical and systems training support
* Leading a team to ensure that effective solutions and delivery are in place for all add value, mandatory, and technical systems training
* Remaining accountable for the performance management and development of associated team members.

Essentially, this role consults with the business to understand behavioural, technical, job skills and compliance training that impacts business growth. At times, you will also contribute to L&D initiatives outside of your AOR, including the development of employees in senior management positions.

Requirements

* 5 years of Learning Management experience preferably in a behavioural and systems based environment
* Experience of behavioural training delivery is essential e.g. Coaching.

The ideal candidate must possess the drive to help our people in effectively carrying out current roles while preparing them for growth as Alshaya employees. You should be flexible and analytical in your approach to training, a creative thinker, and able to collaborate with others effectively to achieve your objectives. Arabic language proficiency would also be an advantage.
