Charterhouse is working with a leading Oil and Gas organisation. Our client is looking to hire a Learning Manager who will play an instrumental role leading both technical and non-technical learning functions within the business.

Leading a dedicated team, this is a specialist role where the incumbent will be accountable for assessing, developing and delivering the strategy and processes for all learning, training and development in line with the business needs. This hands-on role will require an operational and strategic approach, managing the total training needs analysis on both technical and non-technical roles. Working closely with all business units, you will carry out continuous deployment of relevant training programs to current and new employees, maintaining and implementing an E-Appraisal Performance Management System.

Other duties will include following-up, monitoring and appraising performance whilst implementing and managing all National and Expatriate training, graduate and leadership programmes. You will also develop, implement, coordinate and monitor the annual training plan to meet organisational and individual training needs.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have a Degree in HR or a related discipline with at least 10 years' experience in a Human Resources role with a minimum of 5 years' experience covering learning and training activities at a supervisory level in a large and international organisation within the Oil and Gas industry. Additional qualifications such as a post graduate in HR/training and development/project management would be desirable.

You should have previous experience of working in a diverse multinational, multicultural environment and have excellent problem solving and negotiation skills. It is also essential you have solid leadership, management, organisational and communication skills with the ability to develop strong internal and external partnerships.

You should have proven experience of implementing and coordinating technical training programs alongside a strong understanding of best practices in the O&G Industry and solid experience in performance management and annual staff appraisal systems.
