Parkhouse Bell is delighted to be recruiting for the role of Learning Resource Manager on behalf of our client involved in the colleges of excellence programme.
Reporting to the principal / director curriculum innovation and quality, the learning resource manager will determine the aims and objectives of learning resources within the college in collaboration with the principal / director of learner services.

Key Responsibilities
•Produce clear policy on the role and use of learning resources services and keep policy under review to ensure that it meets the developing needs of the company, making recommendations for change and innovation as necessary.
•Manage the learning resources budget to ensure that resources are maximised, value for money is obtained and that budget proposals reflect current and future requirements, taking account curriculum developments and employer demands.
•Select and provide a wide range of resources and information services, which reflect the aims, ethos and curriculum of the college and which ensure equality of access.
•Ensuring quality and relevance of resources is maintained and enhanced.
•Take steps to minimize the paper resources available, focusing on digital media and cloud based resources where appropriate and available

In addition you must undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the principal (learner services) and ensure that the college’s health and safety policy is followed.

Requirements

You must at least have a degree in librarianship, learning resources or information services or similar, five years’ experience of working within a learning resources or knowledge management environment in a further education (TVET) or higher education context and at least two years’ experience of managing learning resource teams and budgets.
