Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The main purpose of this role is to support the UAE in order to deliver the UAE business needs with regards to training, career planning and succession planning as well as to ensure that AECOM's Learning and Development training program is developed, deployed and followed up to support learning and people development needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Training
- Execute the Middle East Learning and Development Training Program within the framework provided by Corporate.
- Develop and deliver UAE training plans, contents that are aligned to organizational needs and Leadership Competency Framework .
- Main point of contact in the UAE for training information and training needs.
- Responsible for communicating training requirements in a timely manner to local HR and Business Lines and maintaining and issuing on a monthly basis accurate training records for the UAE.
- Coordinate logistical needs, including but not limited to securing venues for training programs to include; Train the Trainer sessions, workshops, and on the job shadowing.
- Educate line managers regarding performance management system alongside District HR Leads
- Maintain actual expenses for UAE country training external / internal.
- Deliver “Train the Trainer” course to country specified managers.
- Conduct needs analysis to determine UAE training needs. Utlizing performance management system as a tool in capturing this data.
- Identify appropriate UAE external vendors as required, Assist in providing vendor training contact information for vendor trainings to be executed.
- Measure effectiveness of training programs by examining learners' satisfaction levels, competence, job performance and results to business.
- Promote and educate managers on “Skillsoft” as an additional tool to learning and development (mobile learning, e-learning, video-casts, podcasts etc.,) to promote effective delivery of learning content.

Succession Planning / Internal Talent Management
- With the Senior Manager - Human Resources - UAE, implement the Talent Review Process in identifying talent, successors and their development plans as well as in areas of Executive Coaching for identified top talent.
- Manage the Performance Management Process; interpret results of assessment tools and facilitate individual post-assessment discussions.
- Align training development and delivery with talent management program to support employee development needs.
- Assist UAE HR team with onboard of new employees.
- Drive the intern and graduate programs for the UAE.
New Program(s)
- Support the pilot roll-out of the Team Leader Program (Management Development Program) for the UAE, facilitating and coordinating monthly training models

General administrative tasks to include:
producing documents, reports and presentations; carrying out background research and presenting findings, preparing for and organizing administrative aspects of training courses and meetings, liaising with in-house and external training providers and staff; organizing and storing training documents and computer-based information; Key Relationships

Requirements

Qualification

Minimum Bachelor's degree from an internationally recognized University in Human Resources or related subject.
Specific skills required
Willingness to travel within the UAE (UAE driving licence essential). Expert presentation and organizational skills Familiar with basic office procedures including paper and electronic filing systems. Well developed computer skills including the use of MS Office components (Outlook. Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Excellent English Communication skills, both written and verbal. Person Specification (Personality Attributes)
Ability to work closely and cooperatively with others. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines on a regular basis. Strong team player, self starter and problem solver. Able to plan and prioritise tasks.

Experience

Essential:
At least 6 years' experience in working in an advisory role within learning & development, including 3 years in regional business partner role, with a proven track record in a Regional and cross-functional fast-paced environment.

Desirable: Ability to translate ideas into clear written and visual materials/communication.
